This is my latest model finished. It is the 1/48 Tamiya Skyraider A-1H. Build for a regular customer of mine. He has asked for it to not have any arms or weathering on it. I hope he likes it...

I quite like the attention to detail Tamiya has gone to. Where the panels are raised there are raised panels, a good example of this is the armour plating around the cockpit.

Viewed from above you can see the Skyraider was really just a flying weapons platform.

The undersides of this massive aircraft. My customer asked that no weapons be placed on the stores, and that it wasn't weathered. I would have liked to load it up with stores, but the customer is always right...

I think you will agree, this is a rather menacing aircraft.

Tamiya Skyraider Port side. I've used Gunze acrylics on this model. The flat coat used was Micro flat, which I painted 1 coat, waited till it dried, then another coat, which I've found has produced a more flat flat than usual.

1/48 Scale P-51D Mustang. This is a model of the one which flew with Breitling fighters in the 90's. Keith Skilling a New Zealand pilot has asked me to build models of aircraft he has flown.

Mustang Starboard side. This is the Hasegawa kit, it goes together pretty easily.

The Mustang modeled is a restored one flown by Breitling fighters in the mid 90's. I have built this model for Keith Skilling who flew with them along side Ray and Mark Hanna

Undersides were all masked and spray painted. The only decals on this kit were the victorys and the stars and bars.
