The Revell 1/72 type VIIc/41 German U-boot. This was a great model to build. It fits together very well. Humbrol and floquil paints were used. The decals were very good, and seemed quite thin. Overall a very good model to build.

Showing the guns mounted. I found these a little tricky to build. I'm just about certain some companys put more parts in just to say their kit has more parts. They did fit into the deck quite well though.

Conning tower port side. The snorkel could either be in the up or down position. Once again nice detal in the hydrolics department. The railings were supplied out of the box.

Conning tower starboard side. This models decal options were vast. I've chosen the one on the box as it was quite an interesting scheme. This u boat was sunk in operation deadlight.

Port side front. The model gave the option of having the torpedo doors open or closed. There is quite a bit of detail in there. The wires are streched sprue.

The overall size of the Revell 1/72 german u boat is 93.5cm, so quite a large model. I've had dificulty photographing it for it's sheer size. Upon finishing the model I've noticed they have released an american submarine which is 1.3m in 1/72.

Submarines anchor. I've used Floquil rust for this effect. Underneath the rust i've airbrushed humbrol 64 to give the effect of water flowing down the sides.
